PROJECT: Corporate Headquarters Platz Associates was chosen by Androscoggin Home Health Services to be the architect for its 30,000 square foot corporate headquarters to be located on Main Street in Lewiston. The site of the new building was also the site of an existing century old private residence. It was the client's desire to preserve the existing structure and make it a part of the ultimate design scheme.
In addition to design services, as construction managers Platz Associates coordinated construction of the facility. Construction was completed on schedule and under budget and late 1992.

As part of the design process it
was Platz Associates' responsibility to study the existing organizational structure of the
agency as a means for determining the appropriate facility organization. The
implementation of the study resulted in extensive meetings with individual employees and
management throughout the Corporation. Observations and discussions gave consideration not
only to how business was currently handled, but, as to how business might change and
improve within the context of a new space. At each step of the design process members of
each corporate department were brought together to test the direction of the design. It
was our goal that this exhaustive design process would result in a building which would
afford Androscoggin Home Health Services ease-of-use and flexibility for future growth.
