PROJECT: Key Bank Platz Associates was retained
to design Key Bank's new fifteen thousand square foot office to be housed in downtown
Bangor. The design program called for the bank to move all of its administrative functions
into the downtown location as well as providing a full service banking floor to its
customers. Part of our design mission was to create a look and atmosphere which the bank
would then carry into all its future branch banks in the area. Our design team worked
closely with banking officials to develop a color scheme and feel which was consistent
with the image that the bank wished to project to its clientele. The resultant design is
one which projects a spacious yet solid ambiance. One which makes patrons feel the freedom
of the space while reinforcing the security that the bank has to offer. Innovative use of
lighting and ceilings provide a unique flair to the daily business of banking. Platz
Associates interior design team was responsible for all furniture selections as well as
carpeting, paint, wall coverings, and window treatment.
