I am more than happy to write a recommendation concerning the work performed by Platz
Associates for the University of southern Maine Lewiston -- Auburn college.
As architects and engineers, your design for converting a former indoor tennis club into a
complete educational facility has proven excellent. The staff, faculty, and over 1500
students are well served by the layout and design. As construction managers, you completed
both phases on schedule despite the compressed time limits imposed by the necessities of
the school calendar. And you did all of this while meeting the State's strict cost
guidelines.
We here at the Lewiston-Auburn College of the University of Southern Maine are very
pleased with the work of Platz associates and I highly recommend your firm.

Dear Tom:
I am writing this letter to express my deep gratitude, and that of all of the board, staff
and patients that we serve for the architectural and construction management services you
provided in the extensive renovation of our facility at 1155 Lisbon Street, Lewiston.
I'm not sure how you or your staff perceived the renovation that you and your staff just
completed for us. I do know, it is the largest undertaking of this size with which I've
ever been involved.
I do know what an incredible job you and the your staff did in making this undertaking
turnout better than I expected, doing so within budget and meeting all-time lines.
I do know that the collaboration between your office and mine regarding budgetary items
went incredibly smoothly. There was always the highest level of anticipation,
conversation, trust, resolution and implementation regarding all of the changes that we
made as we pay moved through the renovations.
Additionally, we had some very difficult time lines to meet. Staff were working in the
building during the phases of the renovation in increasing numbers, making it
"challenging" for all of us to do our jobs in a satisfactory way. Your
management of the renovation project enabled all of that to go far more smoothly than was
or should have been expected.
It is been a privilege and an honor to work with an organization such as yours. Both the
product and the process far exceeded my expectations.
I can sure you that should future opportunities present themselves for us to work
together, that I would welcome that heartilly.

Dear Tom,
You have asked for a recommendation concerning the work performed by Platz Associates in
building our new corporate headquarters in Lewiston. This work included floor plans and
design based on extensive meetings with our staff and overseeing the actual construction.
I'm pleased to say that we are very happy with the results on both accounts. The floor
plans and workspace layouts have proved to be very efficient and conducive to the smooth
operation of our various functions. The workmanship is not only outstanding, but the job
was finished on schedule and under budget. The building itself is very attractive, and we
are constantly receiving complements on both the exterior in the interior design.
The 240 employees who are based at this site are proud of our new headquarters building,
and we extend our sincerest thanks to you and Platz Associates for a job well done.
