PROJECT: 670 Turner Street This ten thousand square foot
brick building has three separate occupants: a branch bank, a photo shop, and a greeting
cards store. All three tenant spaces share a common lobby with a distinctive gable canopy
highlighting the main entrance. Platz Associates was responsible for the interior design
of all three spaces as well as the exterior design of the building and site plan
engineering.

This project includes an example of the
full range of services available to our clients: in -house site planning and development
review permitting. Although a small site, the site presented several difficulties. Due to
state access controls, only one entrance was allowed into the site. Combined with the need
for a drive-up window, on-site traffic circulation patterns presented a challenge. Due to
the topography of surrounding lots, drainage was also a concern. In addition to the
engineering necessary to design the site and address these issues, Platz Associates was
also responsible for obtaining all permits necessary through the Auburn Planning Board.
