Architect
Adam is an advocate for balanced design solutions that respond equally to the needs of clients, communities, and the environment. He has accumulated a diverse set of experiences while practicing in Maine, Vermont, and Philadelphia. Working for seven years in Vermont Adam developed a passion for natural materials, efficient building envelopes, and diverse project types– from small residential homes to recreation centers, a school, and a ski resort. This invaluable experience refined his technical skills and knowledge base. Over the past few years in Philadelphia he focused on higher education, multi-family residential, and open office projects.
After winning top honors in architectural competitions from regional chapters of the American Institute of Architects and Delaware Valley Green Building Council, Adam founded his own monthly conceptual competition to encourage the creativity of the design community. He served on the Development Review Board for the town of Wilmington, Vermont where he participated in the review of buildings in the historic village. Before moving to Maine Adam was an adjunct faculty member at Jefferson University where he taught context-driven architecture studios. Adam is an active Planning Board Member in Gardiner, Maine.
