Built in 1852 with Bates Mill No. 2, both were widened in 1923 and the iconic clock tower was added facing downtown Lewiston, Maine. Below the clock tower is the Atrium that connects both buildings and provides access to the center of the Bates Mill Complex. The building is a multifaceted structure with a pub, production brewery, museum and offices.
